Jogging with the Zoom 360

You may know, my husband is the jogger in our house, so he has done the majority of the jogging with the Zoom 360. He quickly realized it’s very different to run with an actually jogging stroller – in a good way! The large tires together with an insanely good suspension system make the ride smooth and, in turn, the run smooth. His only real issue is that the handle height is not adjustable. He’d like the handle a little taller, but it is perfect for me (which, of course is the beauty of an adjustable handle).

Strolling with the Zoom

The Zoom 360 is very easy to push and has great maneuverability, though I did notice its size immediately. It’s a pretty long stroller so it took a little getting used to. For daily use, I love how easily and compactly the stroller folds. It does take two hands to fold and unfold the stroller but it’s really simple and quick. Another feature that makes the Zoom easy to use is the five-point harness which is completely adjustable from the front of the stroller with almost no effort.

The large seat with two mesh pockets for toys, snacks or cups is great for kids. I’ve seriously never seen such a generously sized stroller seat and it also has tremendous leg room and seat height. Adding to the comfort factor for kids is the enormous sunshade and the adjustable seat position. It reclines nearly flat and doesn’t have set positions so it’s fully adjustable which is nice. I do find the seat a bit difficult to adjust. It’s easy, in theory, as you just lift a tab and push the seat down or pull on the d-ring to raise the seat. It’s just a little stiff and hard to move but hopefully that will improve with more use. For parent’s comfort, there is an optional neoprene cup holder with room for two cups and a small zippered pouch for keys and other small items.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… The Zoom 360 is a great option for a do everything stroller. It has great suspension, large wheels and a huge sunshade for jogging. The front wheel swivels for tremendous day to day maneuverability, a good size basket, as well as an adjustable recline and large seat for comfort. Because the large seat accommodates children up to 75 pounds and is very large you can plan to use this stroller for literally years and years. For the price, I think it’s a good buy for a versatile jogging stroller

Or Not to Buy… The Zoom 360 main weakness is due to the length and width for daily functionality. It’s not an issue when jogging or walking outdoors, but the length can be problematic in other uses like shopping and crowded areas. I’d also love to see the handle height be adjustable.

joovy logoShop! The Joovy Zoom 360 is available in two colors (black and blue). It retails for $269 but is currently on sale at Joovy.com for $199.

Check back in the next couple weeks for a follow-up review to share some more details about the Zoom 360. Please let me know in the comments if you have any particular questions or concerns about the stroller and I’ll make sure to answer them in the next post.

We have the Joovy stroller that has a “jump seat” on the back for the older sibling and we really love it. Our only complaint is the issue you mentioned here – it is really long and heavy. If our Subaru trunk has a lot of other stuff in it, it can be difficult to rearrange for the stroller. It’s been worth it though and is definitely a good fit for our family!

I really love those Joovy Caboose strollers. I’ve admired them from afar, but they seem to have the best sit and stand stroller options. I love that the older child can stand but still be contained.

I totally need a new stroller. Our double stroller is so big and our older son doesn’t really use it much anymore. The Joovy sounds awesome.

  3. 3.

I had a Joovy Caboose when they first came out and had great customer service from the company. Mine had an odd flaw after 9 months and they replaced the stroller! Now I need a single three wheeled stroller and I’ll go check this one out for sure.

Looks like a smooth ride. Probably good for suburban or rural settings. But as a city dweller I always need a spry little number too. I’d stash this in the country for my road workouts.

  5. 5.

I love that the front wheel swivels. My current jogging stroller doesn’t have that feature and is difficult to maneuver. Thus, I’m looking for a new stroller!!

The basket looks like it can hold a lot -another important thing for me. Can’t wait to read your follow-up and hear more!

I really like (and need) the versatility of the front locking wheel. It’s so nice to be able to use it when not jogging and be able to steer easily.

And, you’re right, the basket is a pretty good size which is nice for daily use.

Great review! I don’t jog nor does my hubby so we are not in need of this, but it sounds like a great stroller. 🙂

This would make a great addition for my little one. The stroller I have for her now (Graco), I have to fight with the front wheels to turn. She is constantly being bumped around as I try to guide her along.

  8. 8.

That looks like a pretty cool stroller. I wish I had something light like that one. We have a Graco and it is big and bulky. Thanks for sharing this review and for stopping by The Healthy Moms and leaving us a comment!

Thanks so much for your reviews! I’ve had a few different strollers with my three children. When I needed a new stroller for the addition of my third child your reviews were so helpful! And here I am again choosing a new stroller, and your review of the Joovy Zoom answered all my questions! I can’t wait for it to get here! Thanks Again!

Hi. My only concern is the non-adjustable handle bar. My husband is 6’1″. What is the height from floor to handle bar? Thanks!

    • .

      Hi Tiki,

The height from floor to handle bar is about 39.5 inches. My husband is 6′ and he really likes using this stroller – it’s his favorite for jogging. Hope that helps!

I have been looking and looking into all kinds of jogger. What made my decision really was your video. The only negative comment I have read about this jogger is that seat to canopy hight issue. Have you be any problems so far with this issue?

    • .

We haven’t found the canopy to be too short. It’s a great stroller that has held up very well after several years of use. Definitely still highly recommended!
