I may have discovered something that actually makes me want to be pregnant the rest of my life. Okay, not really. But I am in love with Isabella Oliver maternity clothing. I wish I had known about these incredible clothes during my first pregnancy. I would love to add every item to my closet, and I’ve only had a chance to explore their fall/winter line. Maybe I’ll keep this baby in until the spring/summer line is out.

About Isabella Oliver

Isabella Oliver was launched in 2003 when the founder couldn’t find maternity clothing she actually wanted to wear. So she, along with her husband and team launched their first line:

A range of beautifully-cut maternity clothes made from stylish, easy care fabrics that not only looked great, but were comfortable too. Fast forward to the present and we are offering pregnant women around the world unrivalled quality and fit, we have been awarded the Queen’s Award, and our maternity signature detailing (wrapping and ruching) has become a standard for every pregnant woman’s wardrobe.

Ruched Breton Button Top

Isabella Oliver’s slogan is For the Most Beautiful Time of Your Life. I have to say I don’t spend a lot of my pregnancies feeling beautiful, much less the most beautiful of my life. Feeling nauseous and fat is more like it. But when I put on my Isabella Oliver Ruched Breton Button Top, I do feel pretty good about the way I look.

Here I am headed out for date night with my husband. Clearly the top doesn’t turn me into a supermodel, but I felt like I looked good (except for the fact that my one chance to blow dry my hair was interrupted by a child screaming bloody murder. I think he has a sixth sense about these things.)  The top is incredibly comfortable. It fits really long, so none of that embarrassing belly hanging out of the bottom of your shirt that I’ve run into with other maternity tops. In fact, it’s long enough that it could be pulled down and worn with leggings. Here I ruched it up and wore it with jeans. I love how it highlights the baby belly while hiding the less positive curves. Every time I wear this top I get compliments on it and at least one friend is planning to “borrow” it when she gets pregnant. With the high quality fabric and construction of this top, it will last through the rest of my pregnancy, my friend’s pregnancy, and be around to lend to another friend, assuming none of us stain it from wearing it all the time.

To Buy or Not to Buy

To Buy… I can’t say enough good things about this Isabella Oliver top. I recommend buying as many Isabella Oliver items as you can afford. Not pregnant, check out the 365 Womanswear Clothing line?

Or Not to Buy… Isabella Oliver’s high quality clothing may not be the most budget friendly option available, but the quality and styling more than make up for the cost. Shop for a few key pieces and watch for sales if you have a budget to keep in mind.

Malia

Malia

After a year and a half of motherhood, Malia is finding life as a full time work-outside-the-home mom much, much more rewarding and both more and less challenging than she expected. She's constantly amazed by the wonderful new little person in her life and all his antics, but also thoroughly enjoys leaving him in loving care while she works in "grown up land" (on most days anyway). Her family will soon be growing as they plan to welcome a baby girl into the family this winter. Her impending arrival has everyone excited and a little freaked out (except for baby Jack, who at 18 months is still blissfully clueless).
