1. The Bumbleride Indie Twin is a great choice for families with two young kids. Added bonus? The stroller will now carry two infant car seats. Affordable add-on accessories now allow the Indie Twin to securely fit two highly-rated Maxi Cosi Mico infant car seats, making this a stylish and versatile travel system suitable for use from birth and until your duo reaches the weight capacity of 90 pounds. The Indie Twin is a luxury stroller with lots of bells and whistles for mom and babies, making it worth the suggested retail $730. The optional Maxi Cosi adapters are $40 each.

2. Another great option, particularly for travel and short errands, is the Maclaren Twin Triumph. This lightweight umbrella-style stroller is built for two with independent recline positions. Because each seat reclines flat, the Twin Triumph can be used from birth and has an impressive weight capacity of 110 pounds. The stroller retails for $295.

3 & 4. Leaving the house with one baby can be daunting and requires a lot of arm strength to carry everything you need. Leaving the house with two babies and you’re approaching pack mule status. Petunia Pickle Bottom has a super stylish alternative to mule saddle bags: the Abundance Boxy Backpack ($198). The Abundance diaper bag is designed with ample storage and pockets, perfect for moms of multiples. All that function comes packaged in three different designs featuring the modern, colorful patterns for which Petunia is known.

5. Many parents love the convenience of a portable crib for travel and for use at home. Graco offers a Pack n Play built for two with twin bassinets. The design does separate the babies, so you may prefer a traditional playard with no bassinet insert. The Pack n Play with Twin Bassinets is $200.

6, 7 & 8. If you’re looking for an affordable baby gift for twins, the cute Angel Dear Cuddle Twin Set will certainly produce double the “oohs and aahs”. These lovies are soft, and available in more animal duos than you can imagine: everything from grey zebras (pictured) to pink monkeys to yellow ducks to green dinosaurs or blue elephants. This is also an excellent gift for singletons: one lovey to play with and one to spare!

Twin moms, what gear makes your must-have list?

full-size co-sleeper, 2 good baby carriers (ergo, beco), double snap n go stroller (and then the maclaren double); and for when they get a little older: hold-on handles for the stroller, cooshee booster seats, “grown-up” looking water bottles that don’t leak, and a twin support group (even if it’s only on-line)
