The Great Fairy Rescue with BOB

By Lauren Barth |

Sunday morning are usually reserved for mama and Max to sleep in while I wake up and entertain the bigger kids.  This Sunday started with some schoko brotchen (literally meaning “chocolate bread,” which is no-kidding bread with chocolate chips) from the local bakery and watching Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue.  Following morning movie time, once mama and Max wake up, our daughter and I usually go for a Sunday morning run.

This morning, inspired by the movie, Ellie wanted to have her very own great fairy rescue in the “enchanted forest” behind our new house in Germany.  So Ellie got dressed in her winter clothes and blanket (seriously, it was like 40 degrees and, yes, it is July 22 and “summer” here as well) for a run through the forest.  I loaded her up in the BOB Revolution SE and headed for the trails.  The BOB stroller was more than up for the challenge of the German trails.  The all terrain wheels and suspension handled the off-roading with ease.  Here are some pictures of our morning adventure.

How can you not want to go for a run with a set-up like this?

At the trail head, where the pavement turns into trail.

Also, can’t really see it, but Ellie has her hand out ready to catch any fairies that we see. Today she was hoping for Tinkerbell and the Water Fairy. Unfortunately we didn’t see any fairies today, but as Ellie said, “Maybe we will catch some next time, Daddy.”

Running in the woods.
Trails like this that go on for miles. Pretty awesome and makes me want to run further.
The BOB ready to tackle the trail.

Disclosure: We received the BOB for coverage on The BabyCenter Blog. Check out that review to see how you can use BOB from birth as your one and only stroller.

We received a BOB Revolution as a gift and LOVE IT! It’s like a cloud. We had to have the tires replaced only once at a bike store which is amazing. I wish I fit in it, hey kid shove over, mama needs a turn.
