My jewelry drawer is full of a wide range of pieces – you’ll find from basic pieces I wear day after day to large statement pieces I save for special occasions. In the past year or two – after a lifetime of only wearing silver jewelry – I’ve added many pieces of gold jewelry. My most recent addition might very well be my favorite: a simple, everyday necklace from Emma McKinstry.
Single Initial Necklace Review
a small circle, hand-stamped with a single uppercase initial, hangs from a simple chain.
The Single Initial Necklace in Gold is a sweet and simple necklace that is perfect for wearing everyday. The necklace is on a 16 inch chain with a 2 inch extender. I love wearing it short, near my collar bone, so that it can be seen no matter what kind of shirt I’m wearing. Because the necklace is so simple, it’s also perfect for layering with longer necklaces.
Though the necklace may be small and sweet, it’s deceptively strong. Max has been known to tug on it a time or two (or ten) while nursing and each time I was terrified the necklace would snap. But, yay for jewelry stronger than my He-Man baby! The necklace has withstood weeks of wear (including showers) AND a crazy baby and it still looks great.
The Single Initial Necklace is a great gift idea for many women (and girls) on your holiday shopping list. It’s perfect for the mama of one child, stamped with the babe’s initial. It’s also dainty enough and priced right to be a little girl’s first piece of jewelry.
