Friday 5: Nursery Design Inspiration Blogs

By Kate |

friday five links worth a click

When I pregnant I spent an embarrassing amount of time perusing children’s design blogs. Even though Max didn’t get his own dedicated space until we moved here to Germany, I was obsessed with pouring over baby nurseries. I’m pretty sure adding beautiful children’s rooms to Pinterest is the nesting via social media.

Here are five of my very favorite blogs to visit when looking for children’s design inspiration. Trust us, you’ll enjoy them whether you’re planning a nursery or not.

best nursery design blogs

1. Chic & Cheap Nursery. Striking a balance between affordable and totally-on-trend-gorgeous, Chic & Cheap Nursery has great real room tours. We also love the design trendspotting and birthday party features.

2. Project Nursery. In addition to a brilliant blog about children’s design, the Project Nursery Gallery is an amazing resource. For example, when I was searching for alternate Stokke Sleepi Crib sheet options, I searched the gallery for nurseries with Stokke furniture. I ended up finding lots of great ideas for a room with the unique crib.

3. Buy Modern Baby. A fabulous hub for all things modern, Buy Modern Baby also has incredible nursery design boards. Esther has a discerning eye and always finds the coolest products for children’s spaces.

4. Apartment Therapy: Family. Looking to spend a few hours admiring beautiful spaces? Check out the Apartment Therapy Kids’ Room Tours.

5. The Bellini Buzz. The Bellini Buzz is the blog of industry leader Bellini Baby & Teen Furniture and it includes everything from scoop for expecting parents to trends for children’s design. Most importantly, everything found on the blog is incredibly stylish and covet-worthy.

Kate started The Shopping Mama™ in January 2009 when, after graduating law school, she traded in online legal research and writing for locating the best products for children. She shops for three kids ages 8, 6 and 3 from their home in Japan. Her military family is making the most of back-to-back overseas assignments by traveling every chance they get.
