We are so honored to partner with Dove Men+Care to spread the word about their amazing Mission: Care campaign. The goal of Mission: Care is to support and honor the men who protect and care for their family and country.

Dove Men+Care Supports Operation Homefront

Dove Men+Care isn’t content to simply send donations to the troops. Dove Men+ Care has partnered with Operation Homefront to bring home 300 servicemembers (both moms and dads) this Father’s Day to spend quality time face-to-face, hand-in-hand.

Dove MenCare & Operation Homefront

We adore a surprise homecoming – even when they induce the ugly cry – so we are thrilled to share this amazing video showing one reunion sponsored by Dove Men + Care.

Our Deployment & Homecoming Stories In Pictures

As you know, I’m a proud military spouse and many of the contributing writers are as well. We’ve all survived deployments, separations of both the long and short variety. We’ve spent holidays, birthdays, Mother’s Days and Father’s Days separated. We’re no exception; this is the life of a military spouse. But, we are honored to share a little bit of these stories in photos.

My husband deployed in October 2010. Family and friends gathered at the airport to send him off.

Deploying Airman

We don’t have many good photos of his actual homecoming, ten months after leaving, because it involved delays and an eventual middle of the night while the kids were sleeping return. They received the best morning wake-up EVER when they discovered daddy was home. But, they were wide awake and thrilled when he came home for a week in the middle of his deployment. I adore these homecoming photos!

Airman Homecoming

Catherine shared these touching photos taken when her husband returned from a six month deployment and was reunited with her and their daughter. LOVE! (And notice how tightly he’s hugging her? Swoon.)Military Homecoming Catherine

We can’t help but smile when we see the fabulous photos from one of Maureen’s reunions Her husband was deployed to Afghanistan for six months and came home to his pretty ladies! Don’t you just adore the expressions on their daughter? Pure joy, even with a little happy cry mixed in.

Squadron Homecoming

Malia’s husband deployed only a few days after their second child, a daughter named Kate, was born. They got to know each other over Skype.

And we love a good reunion photo! Here’s Shannon’s family when her husband returned from a long deployment.
