Last month at BlogHer, Philips AVENT hosted a lovely breakfast with a view to get a hand’s on look at some of the brand’s newest baby and toddler feeding products. The standout was the Natural Drinking Cup.

Philips AVENT Natural Drinking Cup

Designed to help toddlers learn how to drink like an adult, the Natural Drinking Cup has a genius spill-proof top that only releases fluid when your child’s mouth puts pressure on the cup. Unlike a sippy or straw cup, your child holds the Drinking Cup and drinks from the rim just like an adult. The trainer handles help your child control the Cup.

The Natural Drinking Cup is designed for toddlers from 12 months of age. My husband is obsessed with the cup and thinks it’s totally appropriate for my spill-inclined 6 and 4 year old. Who can blame him? Nothing spills from the Cup when you knock it over!

Of course, the cup is BPA free and dishwasher safe. There’s also a hygiene top so you can toss the cup in your diaper bag for easy transition drinking on the go.

Shop! The Philips AVENT Natural Drinking Cup is available from our affiliate Amazon for $6.99 or a two-pack for $12.99.

Meh, the cup is not spillproof. Got a couple for my two-year-old for a trip. I think he was frustrated that his drink did not come out faster and regularly dumped his drink on his face, shirt, etc. by pressing down on the valve while tipping the cup upsidedown on his face. Perhaps he’s past this type of cup, but we were travelling and wanted to prevent spills in other people’s houses. I think the straw Nuby would have been a better option.

Oh, and the lid is terrible! It does not snap on tightly and does not stay on.
