One of my favorite things about fall is fall decor.  Pumpkins, scarecrows, hay bales, apple buckets.  I love it all.  But I don’t love the mess carving a pumpkin leaves behind and I like my pumpkins to last all the way through the season from now until Thanksgiving and there’s no way a carved pumpkin is going to make it more than a week or two.  The past few weeks I’ve been scouring the internet for cute ways to dress up pumpkins and let me tell you, there are some SUPER creative people out there who came up with some great ideas.

Sticker Pumpkins

What’s easier than going to your local craft store, picking up some cute stickers and putting them on your pumpkin.

Painted Pumpkins

This would be fun to do as a family.  Gather some paint supplies and go to down.  You could do kids hand prints in the form of turkeys or keep it simple and just do polka dots and monograms.  Add a bow for a touch of whimsy and you’re done! (Original photo source unknown)

If you can sew these darling lime green chevron pumpkins are darling.  If you can, don’t worry.  You can buy them at House of Hardy on Etsy.  She has several different designs to match any home decor.

Puffy Paint Pumpkins

Remember the paint you used as a kid to decorate your t-shirts?  Well it has a new use, pumpkin decorating.  Sketch out where you want the letters to be and use the paint to fill them in on the pumpkin.  Use black and orange for a traditional look or change it up a bit with a white pumpkin.  You could even use one of the fake ones from a craft store so it can be reused year after year.
