It’s Friday, it’s Friday! Does anyone else feel like singing that at the top of their lungs when Friday finally rolls back around? Surely I can’t be alone… Even though I’m in a state of pure exhaustion when I step foot in my door on Friday afternoon, it’s the happiest I am all week knowing that I have the next two days to just relax and be with my family. Ahhh, I get a big smile on my face just thinking about it!
That being said, I really can’t think of a better way to kick off the weekend than with a comfortable and casual outfit that brings my two favorite neutrals together. I know it’s a toss up, but I think the most dominate color in my wardrobe would be some shade of heather grey. I swear this color, especially in a t-shirt, is going to be your best bet when it comes to finding ways to incorporate one piece into most of your casual outfits.
I know it can get a little repetitive around here with me and my undying love for the perfect boyfriend jeans but I’ve recently come across this pair that really trumps the rest. I think what I love most about this pair is that I sized down two whole sizes to get a much slimmer fit and even though they’re still not super fitted and fairly lose, they come across as just a tad more polished. Well done, Seven for all Mankind, well done.
Finally, saving the best for last, we need to take a closer look at these adorable Swedish Wooden Clogs made by Sandgrens Clogs. First and foremost, I am simply in love with the dark wood soles you see here and the light, tan leather on top. Perfect, perfect combo. I have a small weakness for wooden heels and the fact that these beautiful shoes are handcrafted with real, genuine materials is just icing on the cake. These, my friends, are the kind of shoes that won’t start to fall apart on you after a season of wear and that, to me, is a major selling point.
I can remember back in high school, I had a pair of wooden clogs that you could slip on and they had a penny loafer type upper design and I seriously wore them into the earth, I loved them so much. So, when the opportunity presented itself for me to try out a pair of Sandgrens Clogs, I knew I couldn’t resist adding a new, more modern pair into my closet. I felt so nostalgic and excited because I knew I was probably going to love this updated, more fashionable pair just as much as the ones I had over 10 years ago.
While there are so many choices from this well known and respected clog company, we all know my undying love for the “bootie” is why I couldn’t turn away from this particular style. I feel like even though they’re staying true to the original style of the clog, it still has many characteristics of what could easily be my favorite shoe style. They’re snug and low around the ankle with just enough height in the heel to give your legs those added inches. I know this may sound a little silly, but these beauties even smell so wonderful! I just love the way a brand new pair of leather shoes smells when they’re fresh out of the box and my new clogs did not disappoint.
I’ve always been quite picky when it comes to finding and loving a new pair of shoes because I only want what’s high quality and well-made with genuine materials. They problem is these expectations usually come at a cost. That being said, I honestly think Sandgrens Clogs are priced quite fair for the undeniable craftsmanship that’s guaranteed in every single pair. Being one of the oldest clog companies in the world, you can feel comfortable in knowing that they’re only making and selling the best of the best.
I hope you all take a moment to hop on over to the Sandgrens web shop to see all the clogs that they have to offer. No matter what you’re style preference, they have you covered! You can invest in a pair of boots, sandals, heels, wedges…and I can assure you they won’t disappoint!
