The Sweetest Classroom Valentines

By Lauren Barth |

I just adore Valentine’s Day. It’s the sweetest holiday now that I have little loves of my own at home. We deck out the house with pink and red decorations, bake yummy treats, create cutesy crafts, and enjoy each other’s company. Cuddles and snuggles and chocolate treats—it’s a family love-fest all around.

Of course, now that my big boy is in Pre-K, he’s even more excited to celebrate Valentine’s Day with his school BFFs. They’re having a party in his classroom, and Grant was psyched to pick out cards to distribute to his peers. Obviously, I could have gone to the local supermarket to snag a box of Minion or super-hero-themed Valentines. But once I saw the personalized options from Minted, there was no turning back! Naturally, my little lady had to have her own set to hand out during her library music class too.

My kiddies had the best time personalizing their already personalized Valentines. My son, who is obsessed with outer-space, loved that there was a heart tic-tac-toe board on the back of his cards—and I love that he was having too much fun to realize he was practicing his lettering and spelling! He sealed each envelope with a cute heart sticker, snagged from the dollar section of Target (score!), and then paired each up with an individual packet of YumEarth organic gummy bears. My children are obsessed with this sweet treat—and I like that they’re certified organic, vegan, and free of gluten, soy, egg, dairy, and high-fructose corn syrup. It’s really a win-win candy. (And because they’re also made in a peanut-free facility, I don’t have to worry about potential allergies in my son’s classroom.)

Still need to snag Valentines for your kid’s class? Take your V-Day game up a notch this year, and skip the grocery aisle. These personalized options are so much cuter and way more fun (plus, there are photo options as well). I’ve rounded up a whole bunch of my Minted faves. As you can see, I’m really fond of the punny food ones!) Do me a “flavor” and check them out…
